The GDSC Public Lab a lab that educates the youth on popular science subjects through experiment teaching. The purpose of the experiments is to spur the youth’s interest in science, improve their potentials for scientific exploration and creation and invention, and encourage the youth to devote themselves to the science.

The Public Lab adopts the inquiry teaching method, i.e. to emphasize the science research process by the youth, guide them to proactively propose experiment options and even conduct experiments in multiple ways, thus cultivate their creative mindset and hands-on ability.

Currently GDSC has four themed labs respectively for robot, AR, 3D printing and creative design, and solar cell making. Each type of experiment course takes about one to two hours. The labs are closed on Mondays, and the time for lab sessions are 9:30-11:30 and14:30-16:30. At present, the lab sessions are not available for separate reservation, and only group reservation is accepted for GDSC Science Exploration Camp.
